Comprehensive ABA treatment is a type of therapy that can help children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in many areas, including communication, social skills, and behavior. It is an intensive treatment that involves 30-40 hours of 1:1 therapy per week with a Board Certified Behavior analyst (BCBA) and a Registered Behavior Technician. As the child advances, sessions will progress to small groups and incorporate naturalistic teaching methods into treatment. Community support is also needed. Our team specializes in Intensive Behavioral Intervention (IBI) for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Focused ABA refers to a treatment that is provided directly to the client to achieve a limited set of behavioral goals. This model focuses on reducing problem behaviors and increasing socially acceptable behavior. Individuals who are in need of key functional skills (i.e. communication, safety skills, self-care/hygiene skills, social skills, independent living skills, or independent leisure skills), as well as individuals who are exhibiting acute problem behavior(s), would be appropriate candidates for this treatment model.
